Juggling with a sedentary lifestyle? Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) recently released sample diet plans for men and women with a sedentary lifestyle. Take a look.

Diet Chart for a normally nourished sedentary man weighing 65kg with BMI 18.5 to 23

The approximate share of calories from protien in this diet plan is 13.7%

The approximate total calories from the suggested diet is 2100 Kcal

Avoid or restrict foods containing high sugar, fat, salt, and ultra processed foods

Diet Chart for a normally nourished sedentary woman weighing 55kg with BMI 18.5 to 23

The diet plan is for non-pregnant and non-lactating women

The approximate share of calories from protien in this diet plan is 13.8%

The approximate total calories from the suggested diet is 2100 Kcal

In the meal preparation, 30g oil & 5g iodised salt can be used. It also recommends restricting added sugar to less than 5% of daily energy.
