From candidates to voters: 

The first round of voting in Chhattisgarh will take place on 7 November, covering 20 constituencies, with the remaining 70 seats being fought in the second phase on 17 November.

Around 5,304 polling booths have been set up for the first round of voting in Chhattisgarh.

An estimated 40,78 lakh voters, including 19.93 lakh males, 20.84 lakh females, and 69 third-gender people, will decide the political fate of 223 candidates, including 25 women, in the first phase.

Voting will take place from 7 am to 3 pm on Tuesday in Antagarh, Bhanupratappur, Kanker, Keshkal, Kondagaon, Narayanpur, Dantewada, Bijapur, and Konta seats. People in Bastar, Jagdalpur, and Chitrakot will be able to vote from 8 am to 5 pm.

Overall, in 90 Assembly constituencies, there will be 24,109 polling stations, 29 of which are designated for Scheduled Tribes and 10 for Scheduled Castes.

A total of 2.03 crore people will vote, including 1.01 crore males, 1.02 crore females, and 790 transgenders. The percentage of votes this year is 9.5 per cent higher than in 2018.

The number of first-time voters in the 18-19 age group is 7.23 lakh those over the age of 80 years is 1.86 lakh those over the age of 100 years is 2,462 and 'pravasi Bharatiya' voters is 17.

There will be 10 'Sangwari' polling stations managed by women, five 'Adarsh' polling stations managed by PwDs, and one each managed by youth and PwDs in each Assembly constituency.

In 2018, the INC gained 68 seats and formed the state government, with Bhupesh Baghel as chief minister. In the same elections, the BJP gained 15 seats.
