G20 Summit: What's open and what's closed

Ahead of the G20 Summit, scheduled to be held on September 9-10, the Delhi Police have set up tight security measures in the national capital. From government offices to cloud kitchens, here’s what will be open and what will be closed during the G20 weekend.

All medical stores, grocery stores, milk stalls and vegetable and fruit stores will be open throughout Delhi including New Delhi

WHAT WILL BE OPEN

Online delivery of medications will be allowed.

Government employees, media persons, doctors, & paramedics will be allowed to use their vehicles in the controlled zone.

All commercial vehicles & buses already in Delhi will be allowed to use the Ring Road & the road network beyond the Ring Road towards the Delhi border.

Delivery services will be suspended between September 8 and 10.

WHAT WILL BE CLOSED

Cloud kitchens, markets, & commercial establishments in New Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC) such as Karol Bagh, Khan Market, Chandini Chowk, Civil Lines, & Sarojini Nagar will be closed for 3 days.

All central government offices in the national capital will be closed from September 8 to 10 for the G20 Summit.

All educational institutions and banks in Delhi will remain closed.

Liquor stores in the New Delhi Police District will remain closed in September 8 to 10.

TSR and taxis will not be allowed to enter or operate in New Delhi from 5am on September 9 to 11. Only residents with valid IDs will be allowed to drive during this period.

Although metro services will remain open, boarding and alighting at the Supreme Court Metro Station will not be allowed from September 9 to 10.
