The festival of colours is here and people are waiting to celebrate it with fervour and enthusiasm. Here are five leafy green fritters to make this Holi.
Mooli Ke Patte Ke Pakora
Radish leaves are a storehouse of nutrients and flavour. Take the radish leaves and chop them finely. Add them to a batter made of besan, spices like turmeric, cumin, and chilli powder, and a hint of lemon juice for the added zing. Deep fry them in the shape of bite-sized fritters.
Dhaniya Patte Ke Pakora
Mix fresh coriander leaves with besan, rice flour, green chillies, ginger, and a hint of hing. The mixture is then given the shape of round pakoras and deep-fried until crispy.
Palak Ke Pakora
Coat fresh spinach leaves with besan which is spiced up with turmeric, red chillies, cumin, and coriander. Deep fry them till they are crunchy.
Methi Patte Ke Pakora
Chop fenugreek leaves finely and adds them to a batter made of gram flour, turmeric, chilli powder, and ajwain. Give the shape of small fritters and fry them till golden brown.
Ajwain Ke Patte Ke Pakora
Wash and clean the leaves, and dip them in a batter made with besan, rice flour, and spices like ginger, garlic, and green chillies. Deep-fry them till golden brown and enjoy the crispy fritters with ketchup.
