Homemade Indian Gooseberry Jam Recipe

Fill a pan with water and place the gooseberries in it.

Cover the pan with a lid and cook the gooseberries over a low flame until soft.

Check after every 5 minutes and add extra water to the pan if needed.

Strain the water from the gooseberries and let them cool down before you de-seed them

Make a paste by blending the berries in a mixer.

Next, take a pan and add paste and sugar to it.

Now, wait for the colour to change.

Keep checking the texture and turn of the flame as soon as you feel the stickiness of jam.

Peel and grind the cardamom, and add some cinnamon.

Store the jam in a glass or plastic container that can be used for several months.
