Holi is on March 25 and people all across the country are excited to celebrate the festival of colours with gusto.
Playing Holi is all fun and games until one has to remove the hard colours from the skin. So, here are a few masks that can easily be prepared at home to rinse the colours away gently.
Milk, gram flour and turmeric: This is a foolproof mask that can easily be whipped up at home and will leave your skin hydrated. It will effectively remove the colours and also repair damaged skin.
Milk and olive oil: The colours used during Holi snatch moisture from the skin leaving it dry and scaly. To overcome that, mix a tablespoon of olive oil or almond oil in milk and apply on the skin. Wash off after 10 minutes.
Rose water and aloe vera: If you have an aloe vera plant at home then well and good otherwise mix some aloe vera gel with rose water. Dab it on the skin for supple and moisturised skin after playing Holi.
Curd and tomato: You can easily mix some curd with a mashed tomato and apply it on the skin to get rid of dry and damaged skin after playing Holi. The tomato will help with tanning as well.
