Rohit Sharma is set to lead team India at the upcoming ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024. Under Rohit's captaincy India will be looking to win their first T20 World Cup trophy since 2007. With Rohit set to lead India, he will achieve a unique feat in context of T20 World Cup. The 37-year-old will become the only Indian cricketer to have appeared in all the previous eight editions of the T20 World Cup. Here we look at how Rohit performed in the previous T20 World Cups.

Rohit Sharma made his T20 World Cup debut in style as he hammered an unbeaten 50 in India's crucial match against South Africa. Rohit went on to score 8 not-out against Australia in the semifinal and an unbeaten 30 against Pakistan in the final.
Rohit Sharma had the scores of 36 (vs. Bangladesh), 52* (vs. Ireland), 5 (vs. West Indies), 9 (vs. England) and 29 (vs. South Africa) during the 2009 T20 World Cup.
After missing India's first two matches of the 2010 T20 World Cup against Afghanistan and South Africa, Rohit Sharma slammed unbeaten 79 against Australia. This was followed by a short innings of 5 against West Indies. Rohit did not bat in India's final match against Sri Lanka.
Rohit Sharma featured in all of India's 5 matches of the 2010 T20 World Cup. Rohit scored 1 not-out against Afghanistan, unbeaten 55 against England, 1 against Australia, did not bat against Pakistan and finished with a knock of 25 against South Africa.
Rohit Sharma now a regular member of India's squad played all the six matches of the 2014 T20 World Cup. Rohit's campaign began with an innings of 24 against Pakistan. It was follwed by 62 not out against West Indies. Against Bangladesh Rohit hit 56. He was dismissed on 5 against Australia and Rohit finished his World Cup with a knock of 24 against South Africa.
Rohit Sharma failed to score a single half-century during the 2016 T20 World Cup. Rohit started slowly with an innings of 5 against New Zealand. Then Rohit managed 10, 18 and 12 against Pakistan, Bangladesh and Australia respectively. Rohit hit 43 in the semi-final loss against West Indies.
India's and Rohit Sharma's campaign in 2021 T20 World Cup was off to a distastarous start. Rohit was dismissed on duck against Pakistan and India lost the high-profile clash by 10 wickets. Rohit then scored 14 against New Zealand. Against Afghanistan Rohit hit 74. The fifty was followed by 30 against Scotland. Rohit ended the World Cup with a 56 against Namibia.
Yet again India started the T20 World Cup with an ecounter against Pakistan. Rohit was dismissed on 4 but India clinched the match by 4 wickets. Rohit hit 53 against Netherlands before managing the scores of 15,2,15 and 27 against South Africa, Bangladesh, Zimbabwe and England respectively.
