India won the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 by beating South Africa on June 29. Honouring that, BCCI announced Rs 125 crore prize money for the Indian team.
A report published in the Indian Express on Monday (July 8) provided a brief breakdown of how much prize money each cricketer will receive.
All 15 members of India’s 2024 T20 World Cup squad will get Rs 5 crore each, and head coach Rahul Dravid will pocket Rs 2.50 crore.
Shubman Gill, Khaleel Ahmed, Avesh Khan, and Rinku Singh, who were the traveling reserve are also set to receive prize money of Rs 1 crore each.
India’s coaching staff, including batting coach Vikram Rathour, bowling coach Paras Mhambrey, and fielding coach T Dilip will also get Rs 2.50 crore each.
Rs 1 crore will be given to members of the selection committee, including chief selector Ajit Agarkar.
The three physiotherapists, three throwdown specialists, two masseurs, and the strength and conditioning coach will receive Rs 2 crore each.
A total of 42 people, who travelled with Team India to the West Indies and the USA for the 2024 edition of the T20 World Cup, will all be rewarded.
