How To Make Garam Masala At Home

Cumin seeds (2 tbsp), coriander seeds (2 tbsp), black peppercorns (1 tbsp), cardamom pods, 

Cloves (1 tbsp), cinnamon sticks (2, 2-inch pieces), bay leaves (2), nutmeg (1/2 piece), and mace (1 tsp).

Dry roast all the spices in a pan on low heat for 2-3 minutes until fragrant.

Allow the spices to cool completely.

Grind the roasted spices into a fine powder using a spice grinder or mortar and pestle.

Store the garam masala in an airtight container.
