Required ingredients
Put a pan (kadhai) on the stove and add sugar to it. Mix it with cardamom and water, and let it boil.
After around 7 minutes, add a spoonful of lemon juice and stir well for some time. Turn the stove off and keep the mixture aside.
Now, tear up the bread into pieces while cutting all four sides off. Put the bread pieces into a mixer jar to grind them into crumbs.
Add milk powder and baking powder to the bread crumbs and mix well. Now add milk slowly to the mixture and knead it well.
Once the bread dough becomes soft and ready, roll it into small pieces as required for gulab jamun
Put the pan on the stove and pour oil to heat it. Once the oil gets preheated on the medium flame, start to fry the rolled bread balls till they turn brown.
Get the bread balls out of the pan after they are fried well.
Put them in the cardamom-infused sugar syrup that was prepared earlier. Cover the lid and let it soak for two hours.
Once the gulab jamun soaks the syrup well and gets softer, serve it to everyone and enjoy this easy gulab jamun recipe.
