Grab your chef's hat and begin preparing idli batter at home.
Mix parboiled rice and regular rice in a bowl.
Mix properly and keep it aside for 4 to 5 hours.
In a separate bowl, take urad dal and rinse it properly.
Blend the urad dal in a mixer until the paste turns thick.
Now, grind the rice mixer using urad dal water.
Once done, blend the rice batter and urad dal batter in a bowl.
Cover the bowl with a lid and place it in a warm place for 8 to 9 hours.
Once the batter has fermented, it can be used to make idlis and dosas.
