How To Make Idli Batter At Home

Grab your chef's hat and begin preparing idli batter at home.

Mix parboiled rice and regular rice in a bowl.

Mix properly and keep it aside for 4 to 5 hours.

In a separate bowl, take urad dal and rinse it properly.

Blend the urad dal in a mixer until the paste turns thick.

Now, grind the rice mixer using urad dal water.

Once done, blend the rice batter and urad dal batter in a bowl.

Cover the bowl with a lid and place it in a warm place for 8 to 9 hours.

Once the batter has fermented, it can be used to make idlis and dosas.
