Malabar paneer is a rich and creamy paneer gravy that is cooked in typical South Indian preparation. Try this easy recipe to make Malabar paneer at home.
Paneer cubes - 250 gm Capsicum cubes - 1/4 cup Coconut milk - 1/2 cup Onion (chopped) - 1 medium Tomato cubes - 1/2 cup Green chillies, chopped - 3 Turmeric - 1/2 tsp Asafoetida - a pinch Coriander powder - 1/2 tsp Cumin powder - 1/2 tsp Chilli powder - 1/2 tsp Oil - 2 tbsp Salt (according to taste)
Heat oil in a kadhai, saute onions, tomatoes, capsicum, and green chillies for 3-4 minutes.
Now, add hing powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, chilli powder, and salt. Mix it well.
Pour the coconut milk and let it cook in the seasoning.
Add the paneer cubes to coconut gravy, cover the pan with a lid, and cook it for 4 to 5 minutes.
Your Malabar paneer is ready, enjoy it with chapati or steamed rice.
