How To Make Restaurant-Style Pav Bhaji At Home

Pav bhaji is one of the most popular Indian snacks, especially in Maharashtra. Here's an easy recipe to make restaurant-style pav bhaji at home.

Ingredients for bhaji

Oil - 1 tsp Butter - 4 cubes Onion, chopped - 1 cup Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tsp Cauliflower, chopped - 1/2 cup Capsicum, chopped - 1/2 cup Potatoes, boiled/mashed - 1 cup Peas - 1/2 cup Salt (according to taste) Pav bhaji masala - 3 tsp Red chilli powder - 1 tsp Tomato puree - 1/2 cup Coriander leaves - 1/2 cup

Ingredients for pav

Butter - 1/2 cup Pav - 4 Pav bhaji masala - 2 tsp

Step 1

Heat oil in a pan. Add butter and onion to it. Saute till golden brown and then add ginger-garlic paste. 

Step 2

Mix well. Now, add peas with a cup of mashed potatoes.

Step 3

Add chopped cauliflower, salt, red chilli powder, and pav bhaji masala to the mashed mixture.

Step 4

Mix it well, and add the tomato puree. Stir the puree thoroughly and then add butter followed by coriander leaves to the cooked bhaji.

Step 5

For pav, spread some butter all over the pav.

Step 6

Sprinkle pav bhaji masala over it. Toast it on the pan for a while till it becomes golden brown.

Step 7

Your pav bhaji is ready; serve it hot with a lemon wedge, chopped onion and green chilli.
