How Women's T20 World Cup prize money has increased from 2023 edition
The ICC recently announced a 134 % increase in prize money for winners of 2024 Women's T20 World Cup
The winners of the 2024 Women's T20 WC will get
$2.34 million, which is more than double than $1 million that was awarded in 2023
The runners-up will receive $1.17 million this year, compared to the $500,000 what South Africa got last year
The two losing semi-finalists will be awarded $675, 000, which is a rise from $210 000 in 2023. India had lost in the semis last year
Teams who win each group stage match will get $31,154, whereas teams that fail to advance to semi-finals will share from a pool of $1.35 million
Teams who finish third or fourth in the group will take home $270,000 each, whereas teams finishing fifth will get $135,000
All 10 participating teams will get $112,500 regardless of where they finish
