Hurun recently released its first Global Cheetah Index – a list of the world’s startups most likely to become unicorns within five years.

As per the report, India ranks as the fourth-largest cheetah with 36 startups most likely to become a unicorn within five years.
India is home 5% of the world’s unicorns, 7% of gazelles, and 4.8% of cheetahs.
Bengaluru emerged as the home to the startup ecosystem in India, hosting 21 cheetah startups.
Bengaluru hosts 2.4% of global unicorns, 3.2% of gazelles, and 2.8% of cheetahs.
