IND vs SL, 3rd T20I: Skipper Suryakumar Turned Bowler, Named Player Of The Series

India clinched a thriller against Sri Lanka in Super Over to complete 3-0 T20I series whitewash of neighbours at Pallekele.

India put up 137 runs in 20 overs before limiting Sri Lanka to the exact score at the end of the second innings.

For majority of the match, SL outplayed India but the last two overs of the 2nd innings saw something interesting.

Hard-hitting batter Rinku Singh was sent to bowl in the 19th over when SL needed just nine from 12 balls.

The first-time bowler conceded just three runs and stunned all by picking up two wickets.

Skipper Suryakumar Yadav himself came to bowl the last over when the Lankans needed six runs from as many balls.

Another first-time T20I bowler, SKY conceded just five runs and also picked up two wickets, taking the match to a Super Over.

In the Super Over, Washington Sundar picked up Kusal Perera and Pathum Nissanka and SL scored just two runs.

Suryakumar swept a four off Maheesh Theekshana's first and secured a win. He was also named player of the series for his contribution in the three T20Is.
