Independence Day 2024: A look PM Narendra Modi's turbans over the years

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is known to wear bright and colourful turbans on Independence every year. Take a look at his turbans over the years:

PM Modi sported a multicoloured Rajasthani leheriya print turban with white kurta & churidar for the 78th Independence Day celebrations at the historic Red Fort.  Modi's headgear was a mix of orange, yellow and green colour with a long tail. He also wore a light blue bandhgala jacket.

2024

On the 77th Independence Day, PM Modi wore a vibrant Rajasthani-style turban, complemented by an off-white kurta, white pants, and a jacket featuring a pocket square.

2023

For the 76th Independence Day, Modi wore a white safa with tricolor stripes and a long trail, paired with a traditional kurta, churidar, blue jacket, and black shoes.

2022

In 2021, the Prime Minister wore a saffron turban adorned with red patterns and a long pink trail.

During the 74th Independence Day celebrations, Modi wore a saffron and cream headgear with a long tail. He paired the 'safa' with a half-sleeve kurta and a fitted churidar.
