The car segment sold 3,72,178 units in Feb 2024, up 11.3% YoY but down 5.4% MoM. Toyota, MG, and Renault saw lower MoM sales.
Maruti sold 1,60,272 units in Feb 2024, up 8.7% YoY. Despite a 3.9% MoM dip, it held a 43.1% market share.
Tata Motors sold 51,270 units in Feb 2024, a 19.6% YoY growth. Its electric vehicle lineup attracted many customers.
Hyundai India sold 50,201 units in Feb 2024, a 6.9% YoY growth but a 12.1% MoM decline. The Creta facelift boosted sales.
Mahindra and Toyota posted significant YoY growth. Mahindra sold 42,401 units, while Toyota sold 23,300 units.
Kia sales fell both YoY and MoM to 20,200 units. Its top sellers were Sonet, Carens, and Seltos due to their low maintenance cost.
Honda sold 7,142 units in Feb 2024, a 17.4% YoY growth. The City, Amaze, and Elevate models contributed to this success.
MG sold 4,532 units, an 8.1% YoY growth. Renault sales saw a YoY de-growth of 38.3% but improved 6.6% MoM.
VW, Nissan, Skoda and Citroen saw both YoY and MoM de-growth. Jeep sales fell to 331 units, 54% YoY decline.
