India and England are set to cross swords for a five-match Test series.
The opening Test will commence on January 25 at Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.
The other games will be hosted in Visakhapatnam, Rajkot, Ranchi and Dharamshala.
This is the first red-ball bilateral series between India and England since July 2022.
The last series ended in a 2-2 draw.
England lead the head-to-head records, having won 50 of the 131 Tests.
India have announced a 16-member squad for the series.
Dhruv Jurel has made the cut alongside KL Rahul and KS Bharat.
India have roped in three spinners– Ravindra Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin and Axar Patel.
Considering the sluggish Indian wickets, England have called up two spinners– Shoaib Bashir and Rehan Ahmed.
