India vs Pakistan T20 World Cup Match At Risk? Here's What We Know
A terrorist threat has been issued for the India vs Pakistan T20 World Cup match.
The highly anticipated Group A fixture will be hosted in New York on June 4.
The threat reportedly came via an image posted on a British chat site.
It had a picture of the Nassau County Cricket Stadium, with drones flying over it.
The Islamic State terrorist organisation highlighted the date of the match in the post.
NBC New York TV broadcast the post, drawing the attention of country leaders.
The channel urged the FAA to make Eisenhower Park a no-fly zone.
Governor Kathy Hochul has directed New York State Police to heighten the security.
“We have taken many precautions,” said Bruce Blakeman, the head of Nassau County.
Nassau County Police don’t see the ISIS post as a “credible threat”.
