India’s first bullet train service is likely to begin operations by 2026.
Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said 270 km of work is completed.
NHSRCL informed it had completed 100% land acquisition for bullet train project.
Over 1,300 hectares of land have been acquired.
A high-speed rail line is being constructed between Mumbai and Ahmedabad.
It will cover Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Dadra and Nagar Haveli.
The line will be built using Shinkansen technology from Japan.
The goal is to create a high-frequency mass transportation system.
The Japan International Cooperation Agency funded the bullet train project.
The agency provided a soft loan of Rs 88,000 crore.
