Launched in 2022 at ₹79,900, the iPhone 14 Plus is currently on sale on Flipkart for ₹56,999.
Additionally, HDFC Bank cardholders can avail an extra ₹4,000 off on their purchase, bringing the price down to ₹52,999.
If you are also planning to exchange an old smartphone for the iPhone 14 Plus, the price would get even lower.
An iPhone with excellent battery, is tempting at this price point and currently only a generation old with the latest iOS 17 out of the box.
However, there are several reasons why you should not go for it and get the iPhone 15 instead.
Apple was forced to adopt USB Type-C on the iPhone 15 models, ditching its proprietary Lightning Port. If you want your phone to be future-proof, it is best that you get an iPhone 15 or the iPhone 16 when it comes out in September.

The non-Pro iPhone 14 models were the last to come with the notch. In 2023, Apple introduced the Dynamic Island to the base iPhone 15 models, which is going to be a norm as well.

Rumours suggest that the iPhone 16 base models will also ditch the mute switch for the Action Button, which was introduced in the iPhone 15 Pro series.

iPhone 14 Plus’s great battery life is probably the only thing that makes it a compelling option at the price point.
