Now reports say Apple wants the Tata Group to increase its production capacity in the country.

Tata Group recently acquired iPhone plant making it the first Indian brand to make iPhones in the country.

Reports say Apple has set the Tata Group a new target and for this it is looking at expanding the area around the plant.

Apple also wants to expand its production base in India by adding MacBooks and iPads to the unit.

Apple has multiple vendors like Wistron and Foxconn already making iPhones in the country.

The latest iPhone 15 model is made in India and sold in the country, helping it price without the burden of higher taxes.

Apple has also set up couple of stores in the country with more to be added in the coming years.
