Berlin With its legendary club scene, techno parties and true 24-hour-city status, Berlin secured the third position. Nightlife in the German capital earned scores of 82 per cent for quality and 48 per cent for affordability.

Guadalajara Nightlife in Guadalajara is rated the highest for quality out of every city on this list. Expiatorio is a favourite spot for after-dark fun in the city.

Austin The Texas capital is a place that has topped the rankings of all US cities surveyed. Nightlife in Austin received the third-highest quality score from locals in our survey. 

Lagos This Nigerian city has secured the sixth position on the list. Lagos earned an 80 per cent quality score for its nightlife scene, and it’s not too expensive to locals either.

Rotterdam The city in Netherlands ranked as the second-most affordable destination for nightlife in the survey. The city’s techno and clubbing scene got a few mentions, the most used term to describe Rotterdam’s nightlife was ‘cosy’.

Manchester Locals have given Manchester’s nightlife an 80 per cent score for quality. Mancunians praised the ‘inclusiveness’ and ‘variety’ of Manchester’s after-dark offering. 

Budapest The Hungarian capital is bursting at the seams with options for a great night out. With an 80 per cent quality score, Budapest’s nightlife scene is easily up there as one of the best in Europe. 

Accra Ghana’s coastal capital ranked well overall for its nightlife scene, scoring 66 per cent for quality and 36 per cent for affordability. The nightlife in Accra is beautiful, peaceful and safe.
