Reliance Jio on September 19 announced JioAirFiber services — an integrated solution to cater to home entertainment, smart home services, and high-speed broadband.

Jio's new service has been launched in eight metropolitan cities — Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai and Pune.

According to Reliance Jio, JioAirFiber will have the following benefits:

Users can access over 550 high-definition digital TV channels, catch-up TV, and 16+ popular OTT apps.

Indoor WiFi services that promise high-speed broadband connectivity throughout homes and business premises.

A range of services including Cloud PC for education and work-from-home, security and surveillance solutions, healthcare, education etc.

Customers will receive home devices at no additional cost, including a WiFi router for complete coverage, a 4K Smart Set Top Box, and a voice-activated remote.

Speaking at the launch, Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited Chairman Akash Ambani said, "JioAirFiber will offer a best-in-class value proposition and plans comparable to JioFiber."
