The Lok Sabha polls in Karnataka will be held in two phases for 28 constituencies as per the poll schedule announced by the Election Commission of India on Saturday, March 16.
Voting in Karnataka will be held in the second and third phases of the elections on April 26 and May 7. In both the phases 14 seats each will go into polls.
Udupi Chikmagalur, Hassan, Dakshina Kannada, Chitradurga, Tumkur, Mandya, Mysore, Chamarajnagar, Bangalore Rural, Bangalore North, Bangalore Central, Bangalore South, Chikballapur and Kolar will vote on April 26.
Karnataka is going to witness a direct face-off between the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and Congress. It will be a two-corner contest as the former PM HD Deve Gowda-led Janata Dal (Secular) has joined the NDA this time.
