Mutton, onions, tomatoes, ginger-garlic paste, cumin seeds, spices, mustard oil and salt.
Heat mustard oil in a pan over medium heat.
Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
Then, add chopped onions and saute until golden brown.
Stir in ginger-garlic paste and cook until the raw smell disappears.
Add chopped tomatoes, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and salt. Mix well.
Add mutton pieces to the pan and sear until browned on all sides.
Cover the pan and cook on very low heat for about 90 minutes.
Uncover, add garam masala and cook until the gravy thickens.
Serve hot with steamed rice or parathas.
