Lakshya Sen Books Historic Olympics Semi-Final Berth

Lakshya Sen qualified for the Paris Olympics semi-finals.

He beat Chou Tien Chen  19-21, 21-15, 21-12 in the men’s singles quarter-finals on Friday.

Sen is the first Indian man to reach the badminton semi-finals at the Olympics.

The 22-year-old lost the opening game to his Taiwanese opponent.

Sen made a strong comeback to win the next two games.

He won against HS Prannoy to reach the quarter-finals.

Sen emerged victorious  21-12, 21-6 against his compatriot.

He will next face defending Olympic champion Viktor Axelsen in the semi-final.

Axelsen won 21-9, 21-17 against Loh Kean Yew to qualify for the semis.

The semi-final between Sen and Axelsen will be played on Sunday.
