LeBron James created another NBA record on March 2.
The Los Angeles Lakers superstar is the first player to score 40,000 career points.
LeBron achieved this feat in the LA Lakers' match against the Denver Nuggets on Saturday.
James, the all-time leading scorer, added another 26 on the night.
His heroics were not enough to seal the victory for the LA Lakers.
They lost the match to the Nuggets 124-114 thanks to Nikola Jokic’s 35 points.
LeBron next added another 19 points in the Lakers’ recent 116-104 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder.
His current tally reads 40,036 points in 1476 games.
The LA star has also amassed 11,057 rebounds and 10,855 assists in his career so far.
In the all-time points list, LeBron is followed by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Karl Malone in the top 3.
