Liquidity in Top 7 Smallcap Mutual Funds

SEBI directive to control froth in small cap mutual fund

Market regulator SEBI via AMFI has asked Mutual Fund houses to enact policies to safeguard investors from the froth building in smallcap and midcap funds. AMFI has recommended means such as increasing the weightage in large-cap stocks.Here is where major small cap funds stack up:

Nippon India Small Cap Fund

Fund Size: Rs 45,894 crore Large Cap: 14.24% Mid Cap: 15.83% Small Cap: 65.32% Net Cash: 4.04%

HDFC Small Cap Fund

Fund Size: Rs 28,607 crore Large Cap: 3.71% Mid Cap: 8.3% Small Cap: 78.1% Net Cash: 9.9%

SBI Small Cap Fund

Fund Size: Rs 24,862 crore Large Cap: 0% Mid Cap: 14.64% Small Cap: 69.09% Net Cash: 16%

Axis Small Cap Fund

Fund Size: Rs 19531 crore Large Cap: 2.31% Mid Cap: 17.95% Small Cap: 69.68% Net Cash: 8.19%

Quant Small Cap Fund

Fund Size: Rs 15,664 crore Large Cap: 21.35% Mid Cap: 1.18% Small Cap: 69.8% Net Cash: 4.9%

Kotak Small Cap Fund

Fund Size: Rs 14,426 crore Large Cap: 6.52% Mid Cap: 19.65% Small Cap: 68.15% Net Cash: 5.1%

HSBC Small Cap Fund

Fund Size: Rs 13,981 crore Large Cap: 3.13% Mid Cap: 23.13% Small Cap: 71.11% Net Cash: 1.8%
