Mathura was under the tyrannical rule of King Kansa, known for his cruelty and evil deeds, spreading fear across the kingdom.
Devaki’s Marriage Prophecy
Devaki, Kansa's sister, married Vasudeva. On their wedding day, a divine prophecy foretold Kansa’s demise at the hands of Devaki’s eighth child.
Royal Couple Imprisoned
Fearing the prophecy, Kansa imprisoned Devaki and Vasudeva, determined to prevent the birth of the prophesied child who would end his reign.
Kansa’s Cruelty
Kansa showed no mercy as he ruthlessly killed the first six children of Devaki, trying to thwart the prophecy and secure his throne.
Divine Intervention
When Devaki conceived her seventh child, the Gods intervened, transferring the embryo to Rohini, Vasudeva’s second wife, leading to Balaram’s birth.
Balaram’s Birth
Balaram, the seventh child, was born as an incarnation of Shesh Nag, the ten-headed cobra, and thus escaped Kansa’s wrath.
Krishna’s Midnight Birth
Amidst thunder, lightning, and violent storms, Lord Krishna, the eighth child, was born at midnight, heralding the beginning of Kansa’s end.
Chains Broken, Guards Asleep
With Krishna’s birth, Vasudeva’s chains fell off, and the prison guards fell into a deep sleep, allowing him to plan their escape.
Miraculous River Crossing
As Vasudeva carried Krishna to Gokul, the Yamuna River parted, creating a safe passage amid a fierce storm, aided by the snake king Vasuki.
Krishna Swapped for Safety
Vasudeva left Krishna with Nanda and Yashoda in Gokul, taking their baby girl back to the prison to protect his son from Kansa.
Divine Revelation to Kansa
When Kansa tried to kill the baby girl, she rose to the skies, declaring that the child destined to kill him was alive and growing in Gokul
