Madhya Pradesh Polls 2023: The important seats to watch out for
BudhniChief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has dominated Budhni since 2006, handily defeating the opposition candidates. This year, Congress has fielded Vikram Mastal, who played Lord Hanuman in the TV show Ramayan, from Budhni.
ChhindwaraChhindwara has been the stronghold of former Chief Minister Kamal Nath, who boasts a record of nine victories from the Chhindwara seat.
DimniThe election to this seat gets more exciting with the BJP fielding Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar from Dimni Assembly constituency in Morena district. Tomar is viewed as a strong contender for the chief minister's post in the state.
NarsinghpurThe BJP has fielded strong OBC leader and Union minister Prahlad Singh Patel from Narsinghpur Assembly constituency.
Indore-1It would be a fierce contest for the Indore-1 seat. The BJP has fielded prominent leader and national general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya to run in Indore-1, a seat currently held by Congress' Sanjay Shukla.
