Manisha Ramadass beat Denmark's Cathrine Rosengren to win a bronze in the women’s singles SU5 in 2024 Paralympics .
The SU5 category is for athletes with impairment on the upper limbs, which could be in the playing or non-playing hand.
Manisha secured the historic third-place playoff match win with a score line of 21-12, 21-8 on Monday (September 2).
The 19-year-old became the first-ever female para-badminton player to win a Paralympics medal for India.
The Tamil Nadu shuttler said, “I am very happy. I am on cloud nine" after winning the Paralympics bronze medal.
Despite being born with Erb’s Palsy, her determination propelled her into the world of para-badminton.
