Marine Lines to Mumbadevi:  8 Mumbai railway stations to get new names

The Maharashtra government has decided to change the British-era names of eight local railway stations in Mumbai. Here's what they propose

Mumbai Central station The Mumbai Central station will be renamed Nana Jagannath Shankarsheth Station.

Curry Road The new name for the Currey Road station will be Lalbaug.

Sandhurst Road Sandhurst Road station is set to be renamed Dongri.

Marine Lines Mumba Devi is the suggested new name for the Marine Lines station.

Charni Road Charni Road station could be renamed Girgaon.

Cotton Green Cotton Green Railway Station is likely to be renamed Black Chowki.

Dockyard Road The new name for Dockyard Road will be Mazgaon after the Centre's approval.

Kings Circle This Mumbai local railway station on the Central Railway line may be called Tirthankara Parshvanath soon.
