Maruti Suzuki To Launch First Electric Car By Year-End: What We Know

Maruti Suzuki has revealed plans to introduce its first electric vehicle within the current fiscal year.

The first electric vehicle will be based on the eVX concept.

It will be showcased at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo in 2025.

Maruti Suzuki will continue to introduce one electrified vehicle per year until 2031.

The vehicles will be unveiled based on cost savings and the expansion of local charging infrastructure.

The company will also push eco-friendly technologies such as strong hybrid, flex fuel, biogas, and CNG.

The aim is to provide different, cost-effective options for reducing pollutants and fuel consumption.

Chairman RC Bhargava stressed the need for a policy framework to expedite the use of alternative technologies.

According to Bhargava, selling cars with diverse technologies at different price points is the ideal strategy.

Maruti Suzuki currently has two excellent hybrid models: the Grand Vitara SUV and the Invicto MPV.
