Mizoram Assembly Elections 2023: 

Chief Minister Zoramthanga, who is also the cheif of the Mizo National Front (MNF), is a well-known political figure in Mizoram and an important contender in the upcoming Assembly elections.

Zoramthanga is pitted against Zoram People’s Movement (ZPM) vice-president Lalthansanga from Aizawl East-I.

Tawnluia is the current deputy chief minister of Mizoram and a key leader of the Mizo National Front (MNF) in the state.

MNF has fielded Deputy Chief Minister Tawnluia from the Tuichang constituency in the forthcoming Mizoram Assembly elections.

The elections in Mizoram in 2023 will be a litmus test for the Lalsawta, under whose leadership the Congress is attempting to revive itself.

Lalsawta is contesting from Aizawl West-III, the constituency which covers at least seven big localities. This constituency is poised to see a three-way fight between the MNF, the ZPM, and the Congress.

Lalduhoma represents the Zoram People’s Movement (ZPM) in Mizoram. He is contesting the upcoming Mizoram Assembly election from the Serchhip constituency.

The incumbent representative and chief ministerial contender Lalduhoma is up against MNF debutant and senior journalist J Malsawmzual Vanchhawng.

Vanlalhmuaka is the state president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Mizoram. His candidature is significant to create a room for the BJP in Mizoram.

He is contesting the upcoming Mizoram Assembly election from the Dampa constituency.

Lalrindika Ralte, the current legislator and a Congress veteran from the Hachhek Assembly constituency, is up against sports minister Robert Romawia Royte.
