Big wins from the last Assembly elections

MIZORAM ASSEMBLY POLLS:

West Tuipui In 2018, the Congress’ big victory in Mizoram came from the West Tuipui constituency, one of the five seats that the party gained.

Nihar Kanti Chakma of the Congress Party defeated Kina Ranjan Chakma of the BJP with a margin of 2,385 votes.

Lunglei South With nearly 6,000 votes, Mizo National Front’s K Pachhunga defeated Congress leader R Lalnunthara in the Lunglei South seat in 2018.

The margin of victory was 2,441 votes.

Siaha seat The Siaha seat had the third most unequal contest in the Assembly elections in Mizoram in 2018.

MNF’s Dr K Beichhua won this seat by defeating Congress’ S Hiato with a margin of 2,468 votes.

Aizawl East-I Chief Minister Zoramthanga swept the Aizawl East-I with a whopping 8300 votes.

The CM defeated the independent candidate K Sapdanga.

Aizawl West-II The most notable election winner in 2018 was Lalruatkima of MNF.

Lalruatkima won this seat by defeating Congress’ Lalmalsawma Nghaka with a margin of 2,720 votes.
