Prime Minister Narendra Modi embarked on a three-day US state visit early Tuesday
PM Modi will be in the US from June 21-23 and visit New York City and Washington, D.C
This would be Narendra Modi's first state visit to the US. Here’s a detailed itinerary of his visit.
On Wednesday, PM Modi will participate in International Yoga Day event at UN Headquarters in New York from 8 am to 9 am local time.
Later, Modi will meet prominent personalities after which he will depart for Washington, D.C.
In D.C., the prime minister will participate in an event on skilling and capacity-building
He will also have a private engagement with Biden
On Thursday, Modi will receive a ceremonial welcome at the White House and will hold bilateral talks with President Biden
PM Modi will make historic second address to US Congress. He gave his first address in 2016.
Later, US President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden will host a state dinner at the White House in PM Modi's honour.
On his last day, Modi will interact with professionals, leading CEOs, personalities and other stakeholders at the Kennedy Centre.
He will be hosted by US Vice President Kamala Harris and Secretary of State Antony Blinken for a state luncheon.
Lastly, the prime minister will interact with leaders of the Indian diaspora
