Nagaland Statehood Day is observed every year on December 1 since the state was formally inaugurated as the 16th State of the Union in 1963.
President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi greeted the people of Nagaland on its 61st Statehood Day on December 1, 2023.
President Droupadi Murmu prayed for the “prosperity and well-being” of the residents of Nagaland.
PM Modi extended his greetings to the people of Nagaland on X (formerly Twitter).
Union minister Anurag Thakur also greeted the people.
