Hall of Fame: Indians who have won the Nobel Prize

Abhijit Banerjee won the Prize in Economic Sciences. He shared it with two others (Esther Duflo and Michael Kremer) and they were awarded “for their experimental approach to alleviating global poverty”.

Har Gobind Khorana won the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine. The biochemist was recognised for deciphering the genetic code and its role in protein synthesis.
