Nothing Unlikely To Launch Foldable Phone

Nothing has smartphones in the market, with more to come but a foldable is not in its plans.

Carl Pei confirmed this news via an interview recently, saying foldable is not the direction in which he wants to take the brand.

He suggested brands are bringing foldables as forced innovation, and he is not excited about the product.

Foldable phones from brands like Samsung, Oppo and Motorola are available, with more to come in the near future.

For a brand like Nothing, focusing on a foldable might not make business sense, similar to Carl's opinion on smartwatches.

But there is a market for foldable devices, which is why Google has launched the Pixel Fold this year.

Nothing has its eyes set on the market with phones, audio products and more. Foldable will need greater funds to make and sell.

The company has launched the Phone 2 in the market this month, which is also making its debut in the US this year.

The phone will be available later this month and focuses on the premium segment.
