Sam Altman is not going to return as the CEO of    AI firm OpenAI.

As per reports, the company has installed former Twitch CEO Emmet Shear as the new interim chief.

Altman was expected to make a swift return back to OpenAI but recent issues scuppered those plans.

Emmett Shear is coming in as an interim CEO of OpenAI after exiting Twitch post the company's Amazon buyout.

Shear sold the company to Amazon earlier this year for a reported $1 billion and resigned from his position.

The former Twitch CEO has talked about AI and his concerns about how it could shape the future.

OpenAI has faced some disagreement for its decision to oust Altman, and reports say Microsoft is one of them.

OpenAI had recently hosted its developer event where Altman spoke in front of the public.

He also shared update on the status of ChatGPT 5.0    and when it could launch.
