The Malayalam film "2018" has been chosen as India's official entry for the Oscars

It will compete in the Best International Feature Film category at the Oscars, a category previously known as Best Foreign Film.

Here are 5 things about the movie '2018'

Directed by Jude Anthany Joseph, the film, with the subtitle "Everyone Is A Hero," portrays a survival drama centered on the devastating floods that struck Kerala in 2018.

The star cast includes Tovino Thomas, Kunchacko Boban, Asif Ali, Vineeth Sreenivasan, Narain, and Lal.
