India has two medals in weightlifting at the Olympics. India's first weightlifting medal at the Olympics came when Karnam Malleswari won the bronze medal at the 2000 Sydney Olympics. Twenty-one years later Mirabai Chanu won the silver medal during the delayed 2020 Tokyo Olympics. India will be again hoping for a medal in weightlifting and Mirabai Chanu is India's solitary entry in weightlifting for the Paris Games. Here is a look at some of her key achievements.
