Ingredients 1 cup split green moong dal, soaked overnight and drained 1 inch ginger 3 to 4 garlic cloves 2 green chillies 1/2 tsp cumin seeds 1/4 tsp turmeric powder 1/2 cup roughly chopped coriander Salt to taste 4 1/4 tsp oil for cooking
Combine the soaked green moong dal, ginger, garlic, green chillies, cumin seeds, turmeric powder, coriander and 1 cup water.
Blend to a smooth consistency batter. Transfer it into a deep bowl.
Heat a non-stick tava and lightly grease it with ¼ tsp oil, sprinkle little water on hot tava and wipe it.
Pour a ladleful of the batter on the tava and spread it evenly to make a thin circle.
Cook it on a medium flame using ½ tsp oil, till it turns golden brown in colour from both the sides.
Serve green moong dal chilla immediately with tomato ketchup or chutney.
