Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot filed his nomination papers for the Sardarpura Assembly seat in Jodhpur district on Monday (6 November).

CM Gehlot's total assets have nearly doubled to Rs 11.69 crore in the previous five years, up from Rs 6.5 crore he declared during the 2018 elections.

Ashok Gehlot owns Rs 10.27 crore of the total assets declared, while the rest of the properties are owned by his wife Sunita Gehlot.

CM Gehlot stated that he only had 20,000 in cash, while his wife only has 10,000.

As per his affidavit submitted to the Election Commission, Ashok Gehlot does not own any vehicle.

Former Deputy CM and Congress leader Sachin Pilot's declared total assets of Rs 12 crore, up from Rs 6.43 crore in 2018.

Sachin Pilot has filed his nomination from his home turf of Tonk constituency on 31 October.

Sachin Pilot has Rs 5.7 crore in transportable assets and Rs 1.4 crore in immovable properties. His total assets include bank deposits worth Rs 1.8 crore and investments worth Rs 2.4 crore.
