Ahead of the consecration ceremony of Lord Ram in Ayodhya on January 22, 2024, several states have announced a 'dry day.' Take a look.

Uttar Pradesh

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath declared January 22 a dry day for the state to ensure a peaceful and solemn atmosphere during the celebrations.

Rajasthan

Rajasthan also declared a dry day to maintain public order and decorum on an auspicious occasion.

Assam

Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced a dry day to mark the Ram Mandir consecration. 

Chhattisgarh

Chhattisgarh is considered the maternal homeland of Lord Ram. The state declared January 22 a dry day as a gesture of respect and religious zeal.

Uttarakhand

Uttarakhand will also observe a dry day on the momentous occasion, January 22.
