Last week, the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) deployed the domestically manufactured Rampage missile in an operation targeting an airfield close to Isfahan in Iran’s central region. Here’s a lowdown on this formidable missile:

The Rampage is an air-to-surface missile. Derived from the EXTRA artillery rocket system and functions as a standoff weapon, it is designed to be launched from a distance that allows the launch aircraft to stay out of range of air defences.
