Ravindra Jadeja is set to enter the record books in the 18th edition of the IPL.
He will be featured in Chennai Super Kings’ season opener against the Mumbai Indians.
The match will be played in Chepauk on Sunday, March 23.
In that game, Jadeja can become the 1st all-rounder in the IPL to reach 3000 runs and 150 wickets.
Having scored 2959 runs, the veteran cricketer now needs 41 more to reach the landmark.
Jadeja boasts 160 wickets in the 240 games he has played in the franchise tournament.
His best individual batting display came during the 2009 season, scoring 295 runs.
In the 2023 IPL season, the Indian all-rounder registered his best bowling haul with 20 scalps.
Last year, Jadeja became the first player to reach 1000 runs, 100 catches and 100 wickets.
He acquired the feat with a Player of the Match performance against the Kolkata Knight Riders.
