Republic Day celebrations in India have seen a diverse array of chief guests over the past decade. Here’s a look back at these distinguished visitors:
French president Emmanuel Macron will be the chief guest at the Republic Day celebrations on 26 January.

In 2015, then-US president Barack Obama was the first US president to be the chief guest at the Republic Day parade.

France’s Francois Hollande was the chief guest for the 2016 Republic Day parade, marking France’s fifth invitation.

In 2017, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan was the chief guest at the Republic Day parade.
